Manchester United tried to sign Hector Moreno, the man who broke Luke Shaw's leg, in 2014, according to HITC sport.
The website claims that numerous outlets reported that the Red Devils were poised to make a bid for the Mexican when he decided he was going to leave PSV Eindhoven.
Louis van Gaal had reportedly been impressed by Moreno during his time playing for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.
But Moreno's own broken leg from the 2014 World Cup left him unable to compete a deal. Will Van Gaal now sign Moreno to play at central defence and deploy Daley Blind to left back to fill Luke Shaw position. In an interview conducted , Moreno was asked if he will like to play for United. Moreno said one day I will like to play for Manchester United , the best club in the world.
